2025/6 West Glos Membership:

You are now able to buy 2026 Club membership.

To Pay for 2026's club membership to West Glos you can visit the ACU's New surprisingly easy to use West Glos Membership link

To enter 2026 events and get your 2026 licence and club memberships then you will need to have an ACU account. 2026 Licences will be available. (You could also pay direct at club to Anth/Ian/Vess and that'll cost you the same but save us the transaction fee.)

And here are some of the Help videos that the ACU say will help you through the process.

Membership Types:

Associate Members - New members will become Associate members. At a later date some may be voted in when they become...

Full Members - Have voting rights. Both types are £5 per calendar year.

Life Members - Make a major difference in the club and you'll get there! (In a positive way, we mean.)

Why become a Member:

  • To obtain an ACU competition licence you need to be a member of an ACU club, so why not your local club, us.
  • To ride in our closed to club events you will need to be a member. (CtC equates to 'Restricted' in ACU speak, but don't worry, we aim for our events to be Open so members of other clubs in the UK can ride too.)
  • Feel a part of the Biking community.
  • To support your fellow enthusiasts.
  • To help out as an official, other than as a Marshal, you need to be a member.

Ways to become a Club member:

Preferred option is to join using the club's membership payment link. You can pay the fee of £5 for adults. or the somewhat cheaper Youth fee - We strongly believe in supporting our youth contingent.

Or, visit one of our Club nights. New members and visitors are welcome to just turn up and can choose to join then, or contact our Membership Secretary, using admin@wgdfmcc.org.uk. You may also apply by post including a cheque for £5 and contact details to:

West Glos Membership Sec. c/o
Haines & Co. Motorcycles Ltd.

Glos

NOTE: West Glos & Dean Forest MCC reserve the right to refuse membership applications. (eg. Non-locals who have no intention of riding or being involved in any of our events may be refused! or not agreeing to Club's Constitution.)

Club's Rules/constitution etc. can be viewed at Club meetings or by contacting the Secretary at secretary@wgdfmcc.org.uk

How to get Competition Licences:

If not done online then there should be a form to printout and fill in. I think it can be found on This ACU Page.

Alternatively, you can login and manage your Licences and Club memberships online

Tip for renewing Licences - You'd think if you want to renew your Licence then you'd click on something like 'ACU Competition Licences' wouldn't you, because that is where you can see what you already have, or have had, in the past. Not so, remember that Sport:80 was written for a different species to us humans. Try the 'Member Details and Payment' menu option. Well, you are an ACU member, that's why you have a login. And I know there's no mention of Licences on this page but it does say 'Trials Competitor' under my Membership Type, so perhaps that's a clue. Let's click that unlikely '+ Add Member Details & Payment' button at the top and see what happens.

Who is the Membership Sec:

Currently it is Colin Jones, he responds best to emails using admin@wgdfmcc.org.uk so that he can answer queries at his leisure rather than use phones or post.

The Data Protection Act (GDPR)

During the year members may be contacted to ensure you have the opportunity to update preferences and understand how we use data that you provide.
