West Glos & Dean Forest
Motor Cycle Club

Celebrating 67 Years of Motor Cycling 1953 - 2020

Youth Riders (A-E) should ask their Parents/Carers to email the West Glos Membership Sec. (admin@wgdfmcc.org.uk), or come to a club meeting, for the Free Youth membership Code they will need before applying for a licence.

Membership Types:

Associate Members - New members will become Associate members until they're voted in when they become...

Full Members - Have voting rights. Both types are £5 per calendar year.

Life Members - Make a major difference in the club and you'll get there! (In a positive way, we mean.)

The Data Protection Act (GDPR)

During the year members will be contacted to ensure you have the opportunity to update preferences and understand how we use data that you provide. Until then the default setting will apply, eg. we will use your email address/telephone number/post address only for membership related contact. Your details are held in an encrypted membership database.

Why become a Member:

To ride in our closed to club events (this equates to 'Restricted' in ACU speak.) you will need to be a member. Feel a part of the Biking community.

Support your fellow enthusiasts and help out as an official with appropriate training at our events.

To obtain an ACU competition licence you also need to be a member of an ACU club, so why not your local club, us.

How to become a member:

Visit one of our Club nights. New members and visitors are welcome to just turn up and can choose to join then, or contact our Membership Secretary, using admin@wgdfmcc.org.uk. You may also apply by post including a cheque for £5 and contact details to:

NOTE: West Glos & Dean Forest MCC reserve the right to refuse membership applications. (eg. Non-locals who have no intention of riding or being involved in any of our events may be refused! or not agreeing to Club's Constitution.)

Club's Rules/constitution etc. can be viewed at Club meetings or by contacting the Secretary at secretary@wgdfmcc.org.uk

or, Best of all, Join using your ACU member login while applying for your licence. The system allows you to select our club and the fee of £5 is automatically added. We will authorise your membership and you will be able to pay by credit card for both Licence and Club membership in one transaction.

How to get Competition Licences:

You need a reference code (if not done online) to prove you are a club member to get a Competition Licence. The membership secretary issues this code with your Club Membership card. You may then either complete the Licence form ( Trials Only or Enduro as well) and post off. Alternatively, you can purchase online using the code. You may also apply for membership OnLine while applying for the Competition Licence. (Note you may wish to fill out the Club Membership form before attending a meeting or posting.)

On-Line ACU Licence And Membership at same time

If you have an ACU Member account or sign up for one, you may choose the renew/apply for option then you have the option of joining West Glos for the current year. If you already have a reference code you can skip this option.

Please note that processing depends on our volunteer officials having time to get to their emails, so please be patient, email after a few days if you haven't heard back.

Please note that the Reference Number used to get an ACU Licence is tied to that one named person. So don't give it to a friend thinking you've saved them paying for membership. Oh yes, there have been some who have tried that!

Who is the Membership Sec:

Currently it is Colin Jones, he responds best to emails using admin@wgdfmcc.org.uk so that he can answer queries at his leisure rather than use phones or post.
