Just a quick note to tell you how much I enjoyed the whole experience of the Wyegate. The trial was great, in spite of the weather and the loss of a footrest half way round. Superb, natural sections and lots of good going in between. It was good to get the results off the web site and I enjoyed the comments and pictures. I really enjoyed Sunday, despite having had two hours sleep the night before (vital machine preparation you see!) and feeling bruised and battered from a few offs. This was my first trial and I knew it was going to be tough but not quite as tough as it was!, due to the weather as well I guess. It just makes me more determined to do another one. I felt it was an achievement just finishing (ok, I had to miss the last section but.apart from that..!!)
It was nice to meet you all and top marks to all the marshals/observers who stuck it out throughout the day. Thanks again. - Ollie Moore. 55
Hi, what another splendid trial, with the weather making it just that bit tougher than normal, thus giving us a challenging but sensible day.

Lizzy unknowingly did the most difficult half of the event with a broken toe but finished, despite her team mates and moral support disappearing!

What could be more frightening than this year's Wyegate? You bet there's an answer to that, The Wyegate Backwards with NO ENGINE!...

The Photo Right is this year's Wyegate Cup Winner - Steve Grindle. Both Steve and his father Bryan have won the best club member before, which is an equally elegant Cup Donated by John Price's Family. The change to this award this year, as the event is now only club members, means it only applies to those Active working members. Neil Wins this for a second time, but only by a gnat's whisker as Ben Falconer tied on 19 but lost out on special test times. (And Ben being an Enduro rider too! Oh dear! the needle match continues..);

Hot Tip for how to get refused a ride next year:
1. Pull Unnecessary Wheelies out of sections and ride over the observer's bag.
2. Pull wheelies on public roads when Joe Public is looking on.
3. Ignore the regulations and leave Enduro style competition numbers on.
