Mike's Update

Jurassic rally Day 1 - after day one Nathan Jones, is winning the clubman class with Mike A4 Allen in 12th. Arran Wells is lying 3rd in Expert, Ollie Alford is in 12th. Arran won the £100 prize money for the combined result of 2 Supertests Saturday evening, beating both of the 2 riders above him in the overall results. It was tight, with just 5 seconds separating the top three. Today (Sunday) - Nathan has a 57 second lead over 2nd place after yesterday's 3 tests that the clubmen completed. After yesterday's 6 tests that the experts completed Arran needs to make up 57 seconds to take the overall lead, a tough ask. Alex Diment and Harry Hillier-Rees are out in front. It should be another exciting day here in sunny Dorset.

A quick scan through the Day 1 results shows Mick had a few problems, which will no doubt be fully investigated at the next club meet. And hiding away in Club ar Adam (45th) and Rachael Wight (48th) battling out between them with Rach having the upper hand in one test too

Jurassic Rally Day 2 - Nathan stayed on track and won the clubman class and Arran did enough to move up from third to second at the end of day 2, overtaking Harry Hillier-Rees. There was a chance of gaining the top spot but a back marker held him up. He didn't know at the time but it mattered. After 2 days racing Arran missed the overall by less than a second, and was a whole minute clear of everyone on day 2. We think Arran won 4 of the 6 tests on day two. Nathan won a pair of Kenda tyres for his win, Arran won some goggles and sun glasses from Spy eyewear, and I won a pair of Kenda tyres on the raffle. Ollie pulled off 13th in Experts and A4 Mike had a problem free weekend, enjoying the Dorset countryside and ending up 14th overall in Club. Adam and Rachael Wight came 38 and 39th with Rach only 11 seconds behind Adam, but grabbing the Females podium. Overall a great weekend, good riding, excellent tests and a great atmosphere in the paddock. Well worth a visit if you get a chance next year.
